Coronavirus Recovery Task Force
We've developed a plan for the creation of a Coronavirus Recovery Task Force for Montclair to combat the outbreak of the Coronavirus, help ensure our residents have the resources they need and to support our community and local businesses impacted by this public health crisis.
Here is an update on what I have been working on in Montclair, New Jersey to combat the outbreak of the Coronavirus, to help ensure our residents have the resources they need and to support our community and local businesses impacted by this public health crisis.
SMALL BUSINESS
Work with members of the Montclair small businesses community, retail representatives, restaurant owner’s, non-profit organizations, interfaith leaders, residents and government to work together to find solutions to get Montclair businesses back up and running.
RELIEF
Create a Montclair Economic Development Corporation that would assist in applying for grant dollars and research private financing to provide relief to Montclair businesses.
FEDERAL ASSISTANCE
Coordinate with Montclair's congressional delegation including Congresswoman Mikie Sherill and Congressman Donald Payne to ensure Montclair residents and businesses get the resources they need from the federal government.
RESOURCES
Create a Montclair Economic Support Corporation that would assist in applying for grant dollars and research private financing to provide relief to Montclair businesses.
OUR HEALTH
Work with health care professionals and Departments of Health on both the state and county levels, to ensure testing is available for every symptomatic resident should the virus levels spike.
OUR FUTURE
Commission an analysis of the whole government response to the current Coronavirus pandemic, so that Montclair is best prepared to respond to the next public health crisi
